QB First Pick Draft Strategy

2014 Analysis:

This team put up solid point throughout the season even with the fact that I drafted Trent Richardson in the second round and Maurice Jones-Drew in the third. I didn’t have a ton of depth here though, and that hurt me towards the end of the season. I will draft more teams this year to see if I find consistent results that drafting a quarterback in the first round should be pursued.

Go running back running back or you will be cursed for the next 50 years. That is pretty much all we have been hearing for the 2013-2014, and while I pretty much agree with it, I wanted to see what a team would look like if you took a quarterback instead of a running back in the first round.

I had the twelfth pick in a 12 team league, so it was a little easier to take a quarterback as my first pick. My bench is a little week as I had to take receivers in the later rounds as my starters where I normally like to add my depth at running backs, but I think this is a fairly strong team.
