There are plenty of people who say they want things, but when it comes down to it, they just aren’t willing to put in the work. From Mark Cuban not taking a vacation for seven years, to Mel Kiper Jr. working until 4am and waking up at 7am when he first was launching his career, success means you have to be relentless. You can never let up, because if you do, someone is going to out work you for what you want.
Most of us have jobs to pay the bills, family, friends and other obligations that seem like obstacles to our success, but there are people out there not making excuses. They are making it happen.
Last night, I decided to do a mini-marathon of the new Hemlock Grove season(which is awesome by the way), but while I watched those three episodes, someone in the fantasy football community was doing research, building social connections and improving their craft. I realize I am human like everyone else and I should have time to decompress and enjoy life. If you truly want something, however, there is not time to let up.
Even though Kobe Bryant is considered one of the best players in the history of the NBA, he will never stop trying to improve. This is a great story that showcases his work ethic.
