Daily Fantasy Football: TE Delanie Walker Week 14 Value

With Justin Hunter placed on injured reserve and Kendall Wright suffering from a hand injury, tight end Delanie Walker is a steal for daily fantasy football players in Week 14.

Walker’s low value($4,200 on DraftKings, $5,400 on FanDuel) is due to his Week 13 performance of one catch for six yards, but that shouldn’t deter fantasy players from a cushy matchup against the New York Giants in Week 14. While the Giants’ defense is ranked 21st in points allowed to wide receivers in standard scoring leagues, it does allow the ninth-most points to tight ends.

Rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger is recovering from an injury of his own, but he does appear to be on track to start Sunday. Even though Walker has only hauled in one touchdown reception with Mettenberger under center, the 30-year old tight end has averaged 4 receptions per game(important to keep in mind for full point per reception leagues), and he went bananas against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12 for 155 receiving yards.

Outside of Nate Washington, Walker is one the few options Mettenberger will have to target. The Tennessee Titans do not have a developed dual-threat back, so the ball will mainly move through the air by the means of Walker and Washington.

Rob Gronkowski will cost you a pretty penny($8,000 on DraftKings and $7,700 on FanDuel), so Walker is a perfect option to start in the flex spot, and this allows you to spend money on Gronk or Jimmy Graham for the tight end position.

With a cheap price and a cushy matchup, make sure you exploit the market.
