Ryan Fitzpatrick left his Week 8 matchup against the Oakland Raiders early with a reported ligament issue in his left hand.

The extent of Fitzpatrick’s injury is unknown, but Geno Smith immediately took over when Fitzpatrick was forced to the sidelines.

Smith connected with wide receiver Eric Decker for a four-yard touchdown pass and tight end Kellen Davis for a one-yard touchdown pass.

The Jets will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 9.

Smith left the game after a big hit and Fitzpatrick returned.
