2015 Fantasy Football Wrap Up

The Super Bowl concludes a pretty wild 2015 NFL season.

It also concludes a fun and very amazing 2015 Fantasy Football season from a writing perspective for myself.

When I first started this blog in 2013, I couldn’t have even imagined the type of opportunities that I found a few short seasons later.

I appeared in my first Fantasy Football magazine this summer, and I was lucky enough to write about my hometown team.

Following that, I had the opportunity to either write for some great sites, and I was one of the staff members for Draft Valet.

  1. SCOUT Fantasy
  2. The So-Called Fantasy Experts
  3. Gridiron Experts
  4. FantasyPros
  5. Draft Valet

In 2014, I was able to finish in the Top 40 for SCOUT’s Online Championship (formerly known as the RotoBowl), but I wasn’t so lucky this year. I wasn’t able to place in the 2015 Online Championship, but I did finish 43rd out of 16,724 teams.

I also gained a huge appreciation for the ranking system at FantasyPros. It’s extremely difficult to pick who is going to be a top player week in and week out, and anyone you see ranked highly really put in the time and effort to earn that spot.

I only finished 104th overall, but I was able to rank 8th for defenses.

But of course, I couldn’t have done any of this without a great team.

Jon Kelly was the resident daily Fantasy Football expert for Your Fantasy Football Coach, and he’s one of the most disciplined players I know.

I actually met Jon because I ran a Sit/Start challenge when I first started my blog. He kicked my butt every single week, and he’s one of my favorite resources when I need help building a lineup.

If you aren’t following him, make sure to add him on Twitter. Jon’s a humble guy, so you aren’t going to see him bragging a lot whenever he wins something big. And I don’t want to blow up his spot, but he took down a huge prize in a Fantasy golf tournament during the summer.

He also covers Fantasy golf at DFS Report, and you can find his author page here.

I’m also fortunate enough to say that Payton Garrett contributed this year, and her handwork and dedication are really going to take her places.

In just her second year of writing about Fantasy Football, she wrote an ebook, appeared in her first Fantasy Football draft guide through FakePigskin and turned her blog into a website.

Payton covers everything now from Fantasy Football 101 to dynasty leagues, and I think the best is still yet to come for her.

You can follow her on Twitter and check out her website here.

I’m excited for what next season will hold, but I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself. After all, it is just the day after the Super Bowl.

But until the 2016 Fantasy Football season, I will still be covering the most important updates around the league.

If you’ve ever took the time to check out an article or supported us in any way, I want to truly thank you. There is so much good information on Fantasy Football out there, and I’m humbled that anyone takes any amount of time to see what we have to say.

Hopefully you had a successful 2015 Fantasy Football season, and I can’t wait to see what 2016 has in store. Cheers!
