Week 2 Fantasy Football Results

“Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit; it’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. . It’s How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!”

I love that line from Rocky. You can give everything you got, but sometimes you are going to come up short. Sometimes you are going to get knocked down. You can’t control if you get knocked down, but you can always control if you get back up.

I got hit hard in week 2. Out of my eight teams on ESPN, I lost every single game. I went 0-8 and it feels awful. I look at my teams and on paper, they should be studs. Sure my team were all the players have the same bye week probably isn’t going to make the playoffs, but I have some good guys on their who should get me to a 500 record. Things aren’t clicking right now, but when you get beat, you can’t blame anyone but yourself. If you get your butt kicked, you go back to the drawing board and figure out what you are going to do to not let it happen again. I am hitting the waiver wire hard and sending out some trades this week. I went 0-4 last year in my big money league, and then I started on an incredible run that got me into the playoffs where I ended up finishing fourth. I did my research throughout the summer and feel that I drafted the best team I could at each position I had, but sometimes you just need to do a little tweaking. To help my playoff run last year, I picked up Justin Blackmon, Knowshon Moreno, and Kaepernick which helped my team out greatly. I am going to look for these type of gems to help bolster my team back to life.

The bad thing about week 2 is that I got absolutely destroyed and it makes me went to rock myself to sleep crying in the corner of a room. The good thing is that it can’t get any worse. I can’t loose anymore games then every single one in a week, so I got that out of the way. Here are how each of my strategies turned out.

Looking to come back to life in week 3. Hope you had a better week than me.

*For this game I did not play James Jones, but I would have still lost the game even if I did. Having two players on the same team does not mean that I have to start both. The concept is to see if the players cut into each others values too much or if they compliment each other.*
