Week 4 Fantasy Football Results

Somebody once said that when success would have happened, people give up just right before it happens. Two weeks ago I was hit with a devastating 0-8 fantasy football week. It looked like all my strategies were crap and that I had no idea what the hell I was doing. I didn’t give up though. I made some moves on the waiver wire, sat some guys who were under performing, and I broke even with a 4-4 record in Week 3. I continued to press on, doing everything that was possible to improve my team and give myself the best chance of winning. In Week 4, all the hard work paid off. I had won every single one of my leagues by a pretty strong margin, but I had a pretty epic battle on my hand that would determine the fate of the universe! Tied at exactly 85 points, I had Dolphins tight end Charles Clay. My evil opponent had Brian Hartline. I chose to sit Mike Wallace which ended up being a wise move, but I also sat Marques Colston to play Eddie Royal. My thought process was that since Jimmy Graham has been the main mouth that has been eating in New Orleans, I should see if Eddie Royal could replicate his first two weeks and let Colston ride some bench. Points are everything in fantasy football, and Eddie Royal got me 4, while Colston had 9. If I had started Colston, that would have given me a five point advantage. Luckily rolling with Clay gave me the edge I needed, and Clay won the game for me 96-88. Like I have said before, you can not let a 1-2 start or an 0-3 start determine your fantasy season for you. In life and in fantasy, you make your own chances. If you don’t like your place in the world, do something to improve your life. My first three draft picks were Ray Rice, Stephen Ridley, and MJD, so I do not want to hear any complaining. If you do your research and actually watch the games, you can always find a way to win. For the amount of teams that I have, an 8-0 record is pretty elusive. I may not ever have a week like this again, but I’m enjoying the hell out of it. Here are my scores and results.
