Five Defensive Sleepers Week 6

Lions vs Browns– The Brown’s have given up the 11th most fantasy points to the defenses they have faced. They are facing the Lions. Brandon Weeden is throwing the ball. Start the Lions.

Jets vs Steelers–  The Jets have the 13th best pass defense and the 2nd best defense against the run so far this year. The Steelers are still a mess in the running game and aren’t sure what to do, so look for the Big Ben to throw some deep passes that get intercepted and potentially returned for touchdowns. I think with the Jets confidence sky high, they will have a huge game in front of their home crowd.

Panthers vs Vikings– The Panthers surprisingly have 8th best pass defense and the 7th best rush defense, and they are facing a Vikings team that is ranked 23rd in passing yards. Josh Freeman won’t start in Week 6, so if the Panthers manage to somewhat limit Adrian Peterson, they may have a decent fantasy output in Week 6.

Eagles vs Buccaneers- I am going to keep putting the Eagles down until I get it right. Facing a rookie quarterback and a team that appears ready to implode at any minute, the Eagles defense has to become fantasy relevant at some point… Right?

Colts vs Chargers: Surprising everyone, the Colts defense is ranked 5th in scoring among all fantasy defenses, and they have faced San Francisco Seattle, and Miami. Despite his 411 yards passing in Week 5, Phillip Rivers returned back to earth with three interceptions and two touchdowns. Rivers has faced Dallas, Oakland, Philadelphia, and a Texans defense that has not quite lived up to the hype of last year. Against a pretty good Titans defense, Rivers was limited to 11 fantasy points in ESPN standard scoring leagues. Rivers seems to be full of surprises this season, but I am looking for the Colts to fully dominate this game.
