After Jeff Tuel relived injured E.J. Manuel, the Bills have decided to bench Tuel in favor of Thad Lewis. Thad Lewis you say? Yes. Thad Lewis. Lewis played for Duke from 2006-2009 and threw for 67 touchdowns and 40 interceptions. Lewis has bounced around from the Rams, Browns, and Lions, and in his one career start, he went 22 for 32 for 204 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Facing the 11th best pass defense, Lewis has his work cut out for him against the Bengals. From what I have seen, Lewis has a quick release and isn’t afraid to stay in the pocket and take a hit. It also looks like he has some wheels from his college highlights. There is no way anyone can recommend starting Lewis, but I am interested in seeing what he can do as the starter.
