As of right now, Harry Douglas is a must add. Julio Jones is out for the season, Roddy White has officially been ruled out for Week 7, so someone that Matt Ryan is familiar with will have to catch the ball right? Tampa Bay is ranked 16th against the pass and 13th against the run, so with Steven Jackson still out, Atlanta may be forced to air it out more than usual.
Other than Harry Douglas, the players who will be used in Atlanta’s passing game do not have many stats to help predict their future performance. Cone and Davis are mainly special teams players, and Brian Robiskie has only had 43 receptions since being drafted in 2009. Cone is listed as 6’2 216 pounds, Drew Davis is 6’1 205 pounds, and Brian Robiskie is 6’4 212 pounds.
If he gets a chance to play, the name to watch out for is Brian Robiskie. After being a second round pick in 2009, Robiskie bounced around from the Browns, to the Jaguars, and then to the Lions were he was finally cut. While there doesn’t appear to be locker room or off the field issues with Robiskie, it may just come down to that he has never fully developed, or never really received the time or opportunity to. Everyone loves a come back story, and this would be a cool one to see.
