After Bobby Rainey exploded onto the scene with 163 rushing yards against Atlanta, I wanted to follow up with his last two performances to see how involved he still was in Tampa’s offense.
Week 12 vs Detroit- 18 carries for 35 yards, 0 receptions on 1 target
Week 13 vs Carolina- 17 carries for 63 yards, 2 receptions on 3 targets for 8 yards
Brian Leonard was barely a factor in the rushing game in Week 12, and he was completely fazed out in Week 13. While these type of numbers will not win you a fantasy championship, Rainey could still be fantasy relevant just because of the amount of touches he is receiving. His best matchup will be in Week 14 against the Bills 24th ranked rush defense, but things will get a little hairy in Week 15 against San Francisco(11th against the run) and Week 16 against the Rams(15th against the run). Your expectations should be drastically lowered since the Atlanta game, but Rainey has the potential for a decent Week 14.
