How great did you feel if you picked up Riley Cooper after his three touchdown game against the Raiders and started him the next week against Green Bay where he had over 100 yards receiving and two touchdowns? I personally thought I found the new fantasy stud of the year, and it looked like Foles and Cooper had a great chemistry together. Well, the last strong performance Cooper had was in Week 10, and the most points he has scored in standard leagues since that game has been 9. His lowest has been 3.Some may say that the Eagles and their first ranked rushing offense could have something to do with that, but they are also ranked 10th passing the ball, so it isn’t like they are just focused on the run. Cooper is still getting enough targets that he should be productive, but Brent Celek and Zach Ertz are combining for a good chunk of the targets and receiving yards which may account for some of the production issues Cooper has had the past few weeks for fantasy owners.
The Eagles will face Chicago, and while the Bears are terrible against the run, they do rank 11th in their pass defense. Shady McCoy should have a bounce back week against this Bears defense that is allowing 152 rushing yards a game, so the passing attack may be more subtle in Week 16 for the Eagles. Cooper may have helped you win a game or two, but what has he done lately? Cooper does not make the cut for your fantasy football playoff team.
