Even though he hasn’t technically been ruled out, it’s hard to envision Smith Sr. playing with four microfractures in his back. If anybody could suit up quickly after such an injury, however, my money would be on the cagey veteran.
But, even if he can play, he’s most likely going to be on a snap count.
I like Chris Givens as a sneaky play down the road, but I don’t think he’s going to be ready to make a big enough impact after signing with the Baltimore Ravens just four days ago.
Tight end Crockett Gilmore also sat out of practice, so this means Kamar Aiken or Marlon Brown has the chance to become Joe Flacco‘s favorite receivers.
