While the rookie has yet to be officially ruled out, Jason Cole of Bleacher Report stated that it generally take three to four weeks for players to recover from Mariota’s type of injury.
If Mariota can’t start in Week 7, Zach Mettenberger at least has a promising matchup. The Falcons’ defense has allowed an average of 290.70 passing yards per game to opposing quarterbacks.
Even if Mariota could make it through the game at less than 100%, it would not make sense for the Tennessee Titans to rush their franchise quarterback back into action.
