Fantasy Football Live Draft Results: Rounds 6-10

After round five my team is looking pretty strong

QB-Brady

RB-Ray Rice

RB- Steven Ridley

WR-Vincent Jackson

Flex-MJD

I am pretty good on the running back end, and I don’t have to worry about using a 6th round pick on getting a quarterback which frees my up on picking up some wide receivers. I had the 70th pick.

61 Tony Gonzalez, Atl TE
62 Eric Decker, Den WR
63 49ers D/ST D/ST
64 Steve Smith, Car WR
65 Owen Daniels, Hou TE
66 Matt Ryan, Atl QB
67 Robert Griffin III, Wsh QB
68 Jason Witten, Dal TE
69 James Jones, GB WR
70 Marques Colston, NO WR
71 Matthew Stafford, Det QB
72 Andrew Luck, Ind QB

I would have liked to have Steve Smith, but I think the Saints offense is going to go crazy and Colston should have a good year.

I had the third pick in the seventh round, so I wanted to focus on getting one more running back incase MJD didn’t work out, I had a bye week spot to fill, somebody got injured, etc. Rashard Mendenhall was available, and he is a starter, so I decided to take him. It was a little early in the seventh round and in my mock drafts I was seeing him go in the 8th and 9th, but I really thought someone else would grab him that round, so I made an offensive play for him.

73 Greg Olsen, Car TE
74 Antonio Brown, Pit WR
75 Rashard Mendenhall, Ari RB
76 Luke Kuechly, Car LB
77 Justin Tucker, Bal K
78 Antonio Gates, SD TE
79 Giovani Bernard, Cin RB
80 J.J. Watt, Hou DE
81 Seahawks D/ST D/ST
82 DeSean Jackson, Phi WR
83 Brandon Myers, NYG TE
84 Jordy Nelson, GB WR

For round 8-10, I wanted to get one more running back so I would have a total of five, and two more wide receivers to have a total of four wide receivers.

In round eight Mike Wallace was still available. I don’t think Wallace is going to have a huge year or anything, but I love him in the 8th round. He had his first touchdown in the preseason last game, and all the Dolphin training camp reports have said that he is connecting better with Tannehill.

85 Pierre Garcon, Wsh WR
86 T.Y. Hilton, Ind WR
87 Haloti Ngata, Bal DT
88 James Laurinaitis, StL LB
89 Bengals D/ST D/ST
90 Tavon Austin, StL WR
91 Fred Jackson, Buf RB
92 Cecil Shorts, Jac WR
93 Texans D/ST D/ST
94 Mike Wallace, Mia WR
95 Daryl Richardson, StL RB
96 Steve Johnson, Buf WR

Ok so the 9th round is coming around and I have the third pick. For the most part running backs have been wiped off the board other than handcuffs. If I could get him in the later rounds I really wanted Andre Brown. David Wilson looks good, but he is still a raw talent and Brown will remain pretty active whether Wilson is the starter or not.

97 Bears D/ST D/ST
98 Miles Austin, Dal WR
99 Andre Brown, NYG RB
100 Bernard Pierce, Bal RB
101 Shane Vereen, NE RB
102 Mike Williams, TB WR
103 Emmanuel Sanders, Pit WR
104 Vick Ballard, Ind RB
105 Blair Walsh, Min K
106 Jermichael Finley, GB TE
107 Lance Moore, NO WR
108 Mark Ingram, NO RB

For the tenth round I wanted to get my other wide receiver, and Josh Gordon was on my watch list at the start of the draft. He had a pretty decent year last year, and he has been targeted often in the preseason. He has a two game suspension, but he isn’t one of my starters anyway so it doesn’t really effect me.

109 Mikel Leshoure, Det RB
110 Jacquizz Rodgers, Atl RB
111 Bryce Brown, Phi RB
112 Denarius Moore, Oak WR
113 Patrick Willis*, SF LB
114 Ronnie Hillman, Den RB
115 Malcom Floyd, SD WR
116 NaVorro Bowman, SF LB
117 Geno Atkins, Cin DT
118 Josh Gordon, Cle WR
119 Johnathan Franklin, GB RB
120 Sean Lee, Dal LB

Tomorrow I will cover the last couple rounds of the draft and show you what my team ended up looking like.

Stay Hungry Stay Humble
