In Week 6, it looked like Jamaal Charles was heading in th right direction. He had 11 touches and scored a rushing touchdown.
But Charles has still been dealing with soreness in his knee. And now some Fantasy players are asking, “Will Jamaal Charles play in Week 8?”
The answer is no. Charles was ruled out for Week 8 on Oct. 28.
That means that Spencer Ware will once again be the starting back for the Kansas City Chiefs. So far, Ware has had a strong 2016 Fantasy Football campaign. He’s averaging 82 rushing yards per game, as well as recording 47.5 receiving yards per game.
Any starting running back on the Chiefs is a strong option in PPR leagues because of quarterback Alex Smith‘s affinity for throwing short passes to his backs.
For Week 8, Ware has a prime matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. The defense for the Colts has allowed the sixth-most Fantasy points per game to running backs this season, and this defense allowed 107 rushing yards to DeMarco Murray in Week 7.
So if you were playing on starting Charles in Week 8, you should be looking at Ware.
